We initially had my husband’s mother for sometime. That one was spooky and yes we know it was definitely his mother. We have had a couple, the odd stranger and now we have a family, two adults a child and i think a cat. Someone is getting a little mischievous and playing games, like turning on the hot water in the laundry. Is it possible to be a halfway house??

Yes, it is possible to have several ghosts in your home. I suggest you read Sylvia Browne's books. She is an incredible psychic, and writes with a sense of humor. If you live in the U.S., you can see her on Wednesday morning, on the Montel Williams Show. Ghosts don't know that they are such, and need to be gently told to go to the light, according to Sylvia. If u want a break from them send them over to my house & they can socialise with my ghosts but I warn u, I have a ghost dog & i think he would attack the cat.

are they bothering you? if so tell them out loud in a strong voice, to leave, that their time to live is over. To go toward the light and not come back.
