I'd say Medicaid pays for at least 75% of the births in America, now that there are people here from other countries, that have taken over our government, which includes medical benefits. More single women are having children, and the father's are'nt taking care of them, thus putting the responsibility on the government, and working tax payers. This also includes how people from other countries come to America,to have major operations (like separating Siamese Twins, and things like that). I'm sure medicaid plays a big part in that too!.

Does it make sense that women that asks to have a tubal ligation after having 1 child are denied by Medicaid? They will not pay for this procedure until a woman has 3 children. For some women birth control doesn't work and condoms are not 100% safe. Mistakes happen and no everyone can stomach abortion. Yes there are people that abuse the system but there are also people that need the help. Everyone on the Internet can throw stones because their lives are hidden from the people that they are judging. Some need to get off their high horse because these holier than thou posts are just ignorant.

I was on medicaid when i was pregnant, not because i'm poor but the insurance wouldn't cover me. I think my husband and I have paid more than enough taxes ourselves to pay for the healthcare i got through medicaid. There are many reasons why people are on medicaid. Maybe someone just lost their job, no insurance. maybe ya'll should start bitching about the price of healthcare
and i believe you have to be a citizen to get medicaid and have children only certain adults get medicaid, (pregnant women and those with children and then they usually pay a premium), lots of people pay premiums who have medicaid, some jobs don't offer insurance. Everyone's on a one track mind when it comes to medicaid etc.

If Medicaid would pay for prescription b-control methods and the people who are on it would actually take advantage of it, and not have medicaid to pay for Viagra or buy Viagra for men in prison, we wouldn't have as many bastard children to have to birth and then take care of. Preventing unneeded children is 100% more important than a man getting a hard on.

If it wasn't for medicaid we would be paying even more for healthcare than we do now because the women that don't have it would not be able to pay their hospital bill so we end up paying out of pocket for them.

As my daughter was born three months premature (a micropreemie), I was happy to have Medicaid as secondary insurance. I think Medicaid needs to be there for those who truly need it. While my regular insurance paid the bulk, we still could have been set back quite a bit with a $900,000 hospital bill.
For the person who says, "If you can't feed them, don't breed them," I'd like to see you how you'd fare with potentially $900,000 in hospital bills. We can certainly afford to feed our children, however medical costs are absolutely ridiculous.

The fact is that people on medicaid get help and there are payment plans to pay off what is owed. It should not be up to the government to pay for child birth I believe that it should be up to the individual to pay for child birth I mean there are many poeple out there that abuse the system anyway so for those who truely need it I think they should be helped but should still have to pay it off like medicaid will pay for it and it gets repaid with a low interest rate.

i don`t worry about stuff like this, with a goverment that has more stupid ways of wasting money, like congressman not having to pay social security or the presidents ,who after office are paid high pensions for the rest of their lives. the ones in goverment give themselves raises, the list goes on & on. the waste of money-shoot at least this is helping people,

the respond above makes a competent factor (approximately politics)...my 2 cents is that many females on public counsel are dealing with poverty, which impacts human beings in unfavorable techniques that are no longer user-friendly for center-type human beings to understand. many cases women who're no longer completely financially self reliant are no longer additionally no longer emotionally self reliant, and that they land up no longer affirming themselves whilst it includes their guy utilising condoms, and so on. additionally, beginning administration pills are costly once you're basically suffering to pay the hire. i think of additionally in this united states there's a manner of existence of dependence on federal counsel, and there is no sparkling-decrease approach in place to get human beings to take accountability for his or her own funds. Even center and larger type human beings are deeply in debt...

Who thinks we should continue to pay for a war in Iraq that I totally disagree with?
Maybe someone else doesn't like their tax dollars going to pay for public education when they don't have any children.
None of us get to pick where are tax dollars go & bitching about it doesn't change one thing.
