Favs:
1. Austin & San Antonio (tie). Friendly folks, aesthetically pleasing, tons of history, diversity in linguistics and cultures. WOW!
3. Ft. Worth. Integrates old west heritage and culture with the new South economy and a very progressive and revitalized city center (much like Austin.)
4. Nashville & Memphis (tie). Close to home, but the scenery around the cities is so beautiful. Music heritage, culture, good food. Tennessee is a great state, altogether
Okay:
1. Louisville & Lexington (tie). If not for the stunning beauty of the horse farms and the architecture of the old homes, I'd have this on the "least favorites list." Rude and impolite people, overall.
2. Cincinnati. Too cold in winter, still a great sports town
3. Houston. Kinda sprawled, but too a great sports town
4. Orlando. Rude like KY, but I could live at Disney World!
Least favs:
1. Dallas. Not as much to offer as folks think
2. Clarksville, TN: Dull
3. L.A.: Dumpy
4. Chicago: Why would you live there?

Man -- why the Chicago hate? Other than that, your list is good.
My Favorites:
Portland, just cool as anything. Everything you could ever want
San Francisco, no explanation needed
Minneapolis, the only place to live in the Midwest.
Ok:
San Antonio (a little too touristy)
Boston (Rains too much, too expensive, too many people over concerned with being NYC's shadow)
Least Favorites:
St Louis The arch is cool, but the humidity will kill you. Boring downtown.
LA. Overrated and so many better options close by

Boston. it relatively is cramped, crowded, impolite, drivers are insane, parking is impossible, and it relatively is costly. i'd take Chicago or Minneapolis or San Francisco over Boston any day of the week and two times on Sundays.
