im australian and my ex is lebanese. we were together for 5 years and he left me about 7 months ago. but he keeps turning up at my house and watching me. is this a lebanese thing to follow ur ex or does he still have feelings for me or he just doesnt want me to be with anyone else? i really need some good advice. why does he do this?is there anything i can do to get us back together? is this a cultural thing. his cousin told me she believs in fate...dont know why she said that

Stalking a person isn't a race or nationality thing, its a gender thing. When ever you break up with someone, and you think they may be doing better in another relationship, you feel that you may need to pop up and observe every now and then. Seeing that he left you and you haven't contacted him in anyway, as he may have hoped, he feels he needs to follow you around. If you don't have any feelings for him anymore and are ready for the next chapter in your life, then don't be bothered with him. If the stalking starts gets too crazy where you can't stand it, you should call the police.
Yeah there is fate, but if there has been seven months and fate hasn't step in, it ain't meant to be.

This is not because of where he comes from - go to the police now! He my just be obsessed or he may be quite unhinged. Protect yourself, even if you just make a report at least it's on record and if they speak to him it may just worn him off. If you feel safe to do so then speak to him first and tell him to stop or the police will be your only altrnative.

Sorry but, the cultural differences usually make these relationships impossible. No telling what he's thinking or what he'd do to you. Go out and ask him what he's doing and what he wants. Also ask his cousin what she meant. I think you should get away from him. He's too strange.

he misses you. definatly, especially if he tried NOT to make his presence be known when he comes to your house. Also, i dount it is a lebanese thing, but a large number of the lebanese population are muslim, ive studied islam, and according to it when a couple become seperated its still teh just of teh man to make sure no harm comes to the woman and to make sure her finacial status is ok.

i don't know if its a lebanese thing... but it seems kind of freaky the way you described it. if he's known to be aggresive and possesive, then maybe he's checking to see if you're with anyone new. if he's not like that , then maybe he just misses you and wants to see you but doesnt' have the guts to go up to you and talk.

confront him and say do u still love me if he says no then tell him to bugger off or if he says yes then tell him u do to so he should get his butt inside.
