John Stossel did a report for ABC's 20/20 called Mr. Stossel goes to Washington. One of the things he wanted to find out was if Republicans spend less. Guess what he found out? REPUBLICANS SPEND MORE THEN DEMOCRATES. And they claim to want to reduce the size of government, but Stossel found out they actually increase the size of government.

Politicians often afford us lip service and are continually competing to win, rather than appeal to the voters on issues.

Slogans, campaign flyer's and advertisement are usually the standard procedure to getting elected. Without any regard to really substantive matters that effect the community, people seeking public office take the path of least resistance.

Even when confronted, many politicians seeking public often have 'plants' in the audience if the heat gets too hot and jump at any indication their man is in trouble by asking some nonsensical or appealing question....

Sir, what do you think of global warming...Well, I'm glad you ask that, Jimmy, we need more convincing studies and I can assure you I will lead the fight to put the truth before all of my constituents....

Gimme a break.

Show me an honest politician and I'll show you a corpse !

They are fiscally conservative when it comes to issues which they don't support. They will undermine the Democrats agendas by promising tax cuts. Like all people, they spend when they get what they want.

Democrats prefer to spend money on free handouts (Communism), while Republicans prefer to spend money on military aggression against foreign enemies. While both are recipes for disaster, they both reveal that the premise of your question fails: Republicans are not fiscally conservative, they are just unwilling to tax more and disinterested in socialistic agendas. BTW, the increase in the debt is just a method of avoiding tax increases and ammo for future cutting back on social agendas. A brilliant tactic which has continued effectively and unrecognized for decades.

Now this is a silly question to even ask. EVERYONE knows that the debt is ALWAYS inherited from the democrats when the retardlican president takes office. Just look at bush present. THEY CLAIM there was a surplus, but we retardlicans KNOW that was just some of the democrat propaganda. It was really a deficit and BUSH has been trying his darndest to get that taken care of. that's why he's borrowed so much is to pay off the deficit.

The republicans like to be fiscally conservative when it comes to their money and their rich friends money. They don't mind spending the money of the middle and working classes of the country!

If "REMY D"s answer about John Stossle is right, that should be proof enough that republicans spend more. He is very conservative.

When they take office, they have to deal with the mess that was left by the democrats.
Happens every time.
I'd steer you to a few good sources on the matter, but I'm not sure you'd be able to comprehend it.
