The hardship we go through makes us stronger and able to face harder challenges in the future. We are made more pure with each challenge we go through, especially if we do not murmur along the way. It is like the refiners fire; just as you refine metal until it is pure we are refined until in the end we may be made pure. Everything we have the Lord gives to us, we may work for it but he gives us the capability to work for it. We are worthy of nothing we obtain and should be happy for all of the blessings he bestows upon us.

so the poor keep believing and the educated keep leading the blind and the gullible

telling others who can't read what god said is a classic line

look at Moses, egyptian priest who made his fellow brother the high priest and then commanded not to intermarry with them other workers

they make it sound like serving god is being obedient to a written command that was written by priviledged heathens who contol the masses

I feel serving god is when you help each other as well as mutually honoring yourself to make this a better place to live while here

take one for the team you are told when life sucks for you...

there is no I in team but there sure is in religion

Who says you are not supposed to be sad? Even Jesus wept and grieved. That is ridiculous and I don't know who would tell you such nonsense. King David was sad when his baby was sick and dying, Sarah was sad when she was barren. I think that the word grieved is sometimes used for sadness. If you get a concordence or go online to research I think you will see that is not true. One of the best things in heaven is that there will be no sadness or mourning or tears.

I don't think we can help feeling sad sometimes, but don't let sadness discourage or distract you from the path that God has marked out for you! Hardship is sometimes the best thing in the world for spiritual growth.

A person could be sad for a while because its a feeling implanted in us by god and we should express it in order to get it out of our selves but the idea is not leting it take over our lives and making us feel so weak and fragile we must prevale and god sometimes is testing us and we must prove to god that we deserve this life he has given to us.

Because hardship is a chance for us to test our faith and harden it. In addition, our temporal suffering aligns us more closely with the suffering of Christ. Also, hardship outlines how valuable good times are and helps us appreciate the Resurrection. And it allows us to grow closer to God by using Him as a crutch in hard times.

just because you have hardship and you are God's servant, you can be sad. God never tells us we HAVE to be happy about it, just endure and have faith in God

Yes, a servant of God should have faith that God is doing what is best for him. However, we can be sad. Remember the shortest verse in the Bible, "Jesus wept". He wept because his friend died. We can be sad, but we can't let the saddness rule our lives.

You are absolutely allowed to become sad , you are only human, and one thing you must always remember we don't have a unfair God he loves us and knows us better than we know ourselves. Just talk to him about how you feel.
