Does the Light in the Refrigderator Go off When I shut the Door?

yes...when i was lil i always tried to close the door partly and just barely keep it cracked open to see if i could see the light go out...haha, thanks i needed that laugh!!!

Ahhh I love these questions! Leads you to the question, does the food exist in the refrigerator when I close the door? Does the Kitchen exist while I'm in the Living room? I've seen people take this to the extreme and think that their experience is the only real one (Like a computer game) and the rest comes to life when you come across it. With the obvious moral questions of, if they just exist for me, why can't I do whatever I'd like?
Well what Philosophy questions, cold hard science can help you determine. We know this reality exists without us because we share in it and can compare notes! I can test the light, I can put a camera in there, I can measure the distance to that light in the sky and someone else can verify it within millimeters.

Yes, the light goes off when you shut the door but all the "lite" foods that you buy put it on again when you're not looking!

Yes, the milk carton told me so, and the lettuce confirmed it...the light goes out when the door is shut.

Nah. I know for a fact that it does. There's a little button that the closing door pushes which turns off the light. (You can push it with your finger to see how it works.) Boring answer, I know, but true.

I think the inside of the refrigerator goes into a superimposed state of both lit and unlit, cool and uncool, etc. Only when I look does it take on one definite state. I call it Schrodingers Refrigerator.
