Yeah, I have to agree. I can understand the public can still mourn, but leave the jokes out. It's enough already his wife and kids are by themselves, no father figure/husband to help them out.

No. Death is part of life, and joking about it, especially for someone with Steve Irwin's sense of humor, adds a connection to that person, rather than hiding away from the pain of their death. Crying about them doesn't bring them back, but laughing with them keeps them alive.

on an identical time as i haven't heard any relatively "comedian tale" jokes (anecdotes, knock-knocks, "Whaddya get"s), I actual have heard some one-liners and random references. some have been humorous in context, some weren't. All have been off-shade and lacked style; which made the humorous ones funnier and the droll ones, nicely, dumber. i discover it no longer user-friendly to get too morose on the dying of somone I in user-friendly terms knew from the different element of a television demonstrate. confident, he's culturally significant, yet his artwork -- and for this reason his passing --did no longer influence me the way that, say, greenback Owens' or Johnny money's did. The irony -- this is the nicely from which all humor is drawn -- is that Mr. Irwin grew to become into killed with the help of that which he helped to maintain. For some, this is basically too quickly to hire guy's oldest protection against grief; the closer you have been to Mr. Irwin whilst he lived, the longer it is going to take -- I think of for his spouse and father it is going to take a life-time. yet for many others, the 1st protection is likewise the final: lacking any opposite direction to precise and relieve grief, they turn to jokes.

Nope...I knew he was going to die some stupid way involving a wild animal sooner or later...he was missing a few marbles. Who just has their baby near a croc? He never had a real sense of animals. He pissed them off more often than not. Now, Jeff Corwin, THAT'S a REAL man who knows his animals!

making fun of anyone isn't really that great. especially someone who died, cause they've got friends and family and people who really care. but it makes no difference to me whether or not it was steve irwin. whoever that is.

yes i do, another aussie icon (racing car driver) peter brock also died friday afternoon. There are already jokes combining Steve's and Peter's death together. I find it disgusting and tactless.

I don't think Iknow about him but making fun of some ones death no matter how mean they are to me isn't very funny to be poking fun at some one who died.
