most accidents are caused by dull knives actually. so i'd go with a sharp one....more efficient, and definitely safer.

I've always heard that a sharp blade is safer. With a dull blade, you have to use more pressure and there is a good possibility of the knife slipping and cutting you.

Depends on how used and handled...generally, is safer to use a sharp blade, because the cuts are clean and without any extra pushing or manuvering...but if you don't handle a knife real well, go for the dull blade so you don't open you veins and bleed everywhere...by the way, if you accidentially cut yourself - apply pressure and keep the cut above your head if possible.

A sharp one. You are more likely to try forcing a dull blade though something and hurt yourself.

Actually a dull blade is safer - When, NOT if ( it is just a matter of timing) you cut yourself the ER doctors will have the ragged edges to pull together to stitch. With a clean cut it is harder to bring together the edges and keep them together for the healing process.

Sharp one, you are less likely to have to make multiple cuts or slip. Plus if you do cut yourself with a sharp blade the cut will not be as torn up.

sharp blade is safer. You need more force to use a dull one making slipping witht he knife more likely.

A Sharp blade always, always. I might suggest, if you ever drop one, DON"T try to catch it! I speak from experience.
