They tend to justify it most ordinarily, I believe, below the proposal that it's for their security. Prices of Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and equivalent others come to mind. I are not able to believe of any logical or compelling purpose to justify manage of the people. That is, of path, excepting minor things which would technically be regarded control that the men and women have willing given govt the authority as a realistic matter. I believe men and women or a citizenry as a entire can more effectively keep an eye on itself than governments can. Seem on the early historical past of the USA. The philosophies of personal liberty and self legislation (the federal government being the least worried in the peoples affairs) made for an awfully affluent and rich nation.

This is, of direction, excepting minor matters which would technically be viewed manage that the persons have inclined given executive the authority as a functional subject. I consider persons or a citizenry as a complete can extra easily keep watch over itself than governments can. Look on the early historical past of the US. The philosophies of individual liberty and self legislation (the federal government being the least worried within the peoples affairs) made for an overly affluent and rich country.

it can only get better maybe more people could be made to vote ?
Many Americans find the government's message much more reassuring than the actual facts. The government's message is: "America is virtuous. Virtuous America was attacked by evil terrorists. America is protecting itself by going to war and overthrowing regimes that sponsor or give shelter to terrorists, erecting in their place democracies loyal to America."
Sugarcoated propaganda doesn't present Americans with the emotional and mental stress associated with the hard facts.
Many Americans have turned a blind eye to the administration's illegal and unconstitutional spying on the grounds that, as they themselves are doing nothing wrong, they have nothing to fear. If this is the case, why did our Founding Fathers bother to write the Constitution? If the executive branch can be trusted not to abuse power, why did Congress pass legislation establishing a panel of federal judges (ignored by the Bush administration) to oversee surveillance? If President Bush can decide that he can ignore statutory law, how does he differ from a dictator? If Bush can determine law, what is the role of Congress and the courts? If "national security" is a justification for elevating the power of the executive, where is his incentive to find peaceful solutions?
Emotional appeals to fear and to patriotism have led close to half of the population to accept unaccountable government in the name of "the war on terrorism." What a contradiction it is that so many Americans have been convinced that safety lies in the sacrifice of their civil liberties and accountable government.

like i dont blame middle eaterners for hating us. **** israel, and **** us for helping them out. B ut it's a strategic spot for an ally in a war in the middle east. Money is what has always done the talking though, and its usually the root of the lie. what is the root of the lie though? Human condition....you should look deeper than the government. Throughout history people have been lying, cheating and hustling for the biggest peice of the pie - bling bling ain't no new thing to us...its a new form of the same old ****. Governments come and go, everything has its ebb and flow....constantly recycling its self is the way of nature. Don't stress over it, cuz they will die too.

For all those out there, that may have suggested that we weren't being lied to, please understand that they do not, in any way represent the majority of Americans. Only the ones who watch Fox News (HA), or have been living in caves. There isn't much anyone can really do about the Government lying to us. It is true that it's been going on for all time, but it does seem to be getting worse. Maybe we'll live through it, maybe not!

How about backing your ignorant and bogus question up with some specifics?
mmmmmmm, can't think of any with any validity other than what you read in the Inquirer?
Fortunately, all you need is an easily obtainable passport and you can leave anytime.
You're still here?

What were we lied about today? Can you be a little more specific? I don't get exited about blank statements and you will have much more impact if you would provide some facts. I'm still waiting for that list of lost rights too. If you run across it will you include that too?

I for one am disgusted in my government but won't go to Canada just because an idiot is in charge now.
Bush is a lying a*s and it's burns me to think that no one has what it takes to impeach him and his vice president. It's an embarrassment for all Americans to have countries laugh at us for this fool who can't bring himself to tell the truth but what do you expect when his own parents don't know any better either. If his parents know better they sure didn't teach their children to tell the truth now did they?
That is what is known as being a real REDNECK and now we are the losers for having one as president.
How do I feel about him lying everyday and not almost everyday as you put it? I for one wish he weren't our president and wish that as long as he is he would be impeached as soon as yesterday.
I won't apologize for him as it's not my fault but it's his parents fault for having him and raising him not to have compassion for anyone at all and for not teaching him to be honest but to lie and to cover up for his mistakes as well as to blame others for them too.
Do you want him? I'm sure we could sell him off very cheap, like a quart of oil that he has stolen already from Iraq or something even cheaper. Think about it and see just how you'd feel having something like him around for as long as we have had to already then ask yourself the question.
