I turned it on and for some reason it was on EXTRA loud and then i turned it quiter thinking my parents didn't notice and sat there for about 5 min then all of a sudden my dad comes all mad and disapointed.I'm so shocked so i say the first thing that comes to my mind"The TV turned itself on and the sound woke me up so i went to see what happened." belive me he did not buy it.ever made a lame excuse?

well its not really a lame excuse but a stupid cover up that i used was this.
i was talking on the phone when i was not sopposed too. so i am in my room talking and since i thought no one was home i did not lock it. then my dad comes in and i quickly put the phone under my cover and i just sit there. so he asks who i was talking too and i'm all like. "i'm talking to myself."
lol belive me he did not fall for it!

First - you woke them up at 5 am when they need as much sleep as they can get to go to work every day and not kill their prick of a boss. I'd be pissed too. Next time read a book.

Second - your "lame excuse" is just proof that you lie to them. While it's one of the most obvious lies I've heard in a long time, it probably damaged the amount he trusts you. Hope that works out for you.

The lamest excuse here was when my husband called in sick to work. He said he'd come down with a sudden case of apathy. Apathy by the way (for the younger folks) means lack of caring. He just didn't particularly feel like going. The worst part? They bought it! Told him they hoped he felt better soon!

LOL. Unless you have a phathom in your room I would believe your lame excuse.
Will you could justify by saying you accidently programmed it come on that time to wake you up to do something.
I would be embarrassed if it was actually set to some porno channel...lol...

Actually, it's not as lame as you think. An slight energy surge could have done it. It does it in my house with lights. It really freaked the he!! out of me for a long time, then my husband showed me that's it's just a slight surge.

That's a funny answer. What if you had told him you kept turning the tv off and it just wouldn't stay off. Then when you turned it down it turned itself up again. No he wouldn't believe that either!

When people get carried away and spend too much money, they come up with some amazing excuses like: the monkey made me buy him or her.
