AAAAAAA!!!!!! the door isn't symbolism!!!!!! check with your lituarture teacher! i hate it when people make up random symbolism for the scarlet letter, there's alot in the beginning, along with foreshadowing, such as the rose, however, as an english major, i can tell you, that it's not symbloism, so don't worry about it
