I know the top 10 drivers that are in the chase..but what exactly happens now...how does it work from tonight forward??

The points for the Top 10 are reset so that each position is five points below the own above. Therefore, the tenth place driver is now 45 points away from the leader.

For the next ten races, they will be racing just the same as they had all season with the same points structure being used for each race.

I'm watching the race right now, I'm recording it on my Tivo, so I'm not watching it live. This is the last race where the guys on the bubble have a chance to make into the chase. Jeff Gordon is my driver, he is on the bubble, he has a good chance he will make it into the chase but he's not doing too good, he might not make it, needs to make more points! If the guys on the bubble don't make it into the top 10 in this race, there is no chance they will win the cup.

Nobody knows.NASCAR changes rules so their favorites get in the chase.
The last 10 races of the season are the chase.The championship will be determined from these 10.
