Tribal society is in some ways more ethical than "civilization." They have not considered themselves to be noble savages. That is how so called civilized peoples have called them.

It would really depend on how you can place judgment on another's lifestyle as being savage. And then after you have insulted their society, you go and patronize them to call it noble because you don't think they can possibly be intelligent enough to choose a different lifestyle.

Savage is a term used by other societies when they would overtake and colonize another society, by turning the members of the other place into savages, they could be killed, inslaved or converted to another way of life without regard to how that old society may have been just as happy or even had things to learn without disruption.

Everyone has free will and free choice on how they live, and what they choose to do with the life they are given. It may not be what you choose and you may judge it savage or noble, but that doesn't change that it is someone's life and if they are happy or not, really doesn't depend on if you think it is noble or savage. That person is living how they choose.
