This movie has impacted this generation like no other. Men, so despiretly wants to be like the character in "Scarface". Rappers and Ganstas, would love to be in the shoes of this guy, that's why they rap about him.
Let's face the facts here, men want power. We subconsicenly want to get away with murder, without having the law on our backs. We think this way of life would be so cool, but we forget that it is all FICTION ,and we forget that people actually die living this type of careless lifestyle.
I mean, why was "The Godfather" named one of the greatest movies of all time by Time? Because, like children, we want to be exactly like them. So yeah, it's overrated "mayne".

I like AL Pacino .. but the movie wasn't that good at all .. i mean look at the Godfather .. dog day afternoon .. no room to compare .. scare face had no plot .. the movie was like roaming around .. no real dilemma .. the guy was greedy and because he was willing to do anything, he started stalking money in garbage bags .. com on .. unreal .. the character was tough but didn't have the wetness to reach the top as in the Godfather

It was not overrated at all. It is standing the test of time and new generation of Scarface lovers are popping out and discovering the movie every year.

It was and still is a great movie! Not over rated at all!

it was ok, but there are definitely better movies in the genre. like the godfather, carlito's way, or serpico. most people just watch it because of all the hype, but if you watch a lot of movies you get a better idea of how it stands.
