Egg Shell matresses on your walls or cork board. Both work very well. I play drums and it keeps me from getting evicted from my apartment.
Also more books and carpet help to absorb the waves.
hope this helps.

Padding to absorb the sound, carpet might work. Stuffing some extra carpet into the cracks under the door and over the windows too.

If you want to go the expensive route take out your drywall and put soundproof insulation in and then put new drywall back on mud it and paint it again....the cheap way is to hang carpet on the walls or foam eggshell...either way works

It depends on how complicated you want to get. You can do anything from hang thick blankets all around the room to building an interior wall within the existing room, leaving an air space.and insulating the hell out of each wall.
