The same Libs who are so adamant about getting me to go and see any anti Bush propoganda always shrink away when I try to get them to go and see pro America propiganda, or simple documentaries on the subject. Do you guys think it didn't happen, or is there some other scenario you are working with?

I find it entertaining that Libs would call me brainwashed for my recognition of the fact that we were attacked on that day, as we had been attacked earlier by the same group, at the same site. I am ALL about getting on with my life, but the war is still on, so it looks to me like, if you can REALLY put this out of your mind, you choose to exist in ignorant bliss.

While I don't rush out to see every Left wing propoganda film that came out, I have seen Farienheight 9-11 and a few others. I will gladly watch any political films they invite me to

While I am not 'offended' by Liberal propoganda, I would rather have honest dialogue and debate. Less dogma and BS. I find it so difficult to debate with Liberals, because they can never simply talk about the issues. Even with this question, some of the answers are attacking me. I get the feeling that you would rather not acknowledge the fact that there are people who don't think like you, unless you are insulting them in some way.

It also seems like Liberals are incapable of thinking of 9-11 out of context of George W. Bush. My question does not mention him, but he is used as some sort of rebuttal. This is a question. Questions generally get answers, not rebuttals.

Iraq is often used by Liberals as proof that September 11th didn't happen. They say, "Obviously Iraq had nothing to do with September 11th", as if it is supposed to in some way negate the fact that the attacks did occur. Assuming Iraq and Al Qaeda had nothing to do with each other, they sure did flock to Iraq on September 12th. As of last year, we have captured or killed over 3000 Al Qaeda members worldwide. That includes Iraq.

Libs always try to use the US death toll as a reason not to defend ourselves as a nation. Since September 11th, more Americans have died at the hands of illegal border crossers than the war in Iraq. Of course, you won't see THAT in a Michael Moore movie.

I do understand the difference between Liberals and Democrats, I am a registered Democrat, and I think Zell Miller was right. So was JFK. If you are a Democrat, you should listen to his inaguration speech one day. Sorry if my quesstion offends you. Perhaps you are a bit too closed minded.

By the way, in my opinion, the fact that Farenheight 9-11 blacked out the screen during the 9-11 footage serves as an indication that Liberals desperately want 9-11 to not be part of the American consciousness. What is it to you?

Well, I'm not a liberal, I'm a Democrat. There IS a difference, folks, really there is.
That said - I don't want to forget 9/11, and I won't ever forget it. Anything like that ever happening again scares the hell out of me. Why do you assume that all "liberals" want to forget? I'm perfectly comfortable with both Democrat and Republican "propaganda", as you put it - it helps form an opinion on what's going on to be able to see both sides of an arguement. It doesn't help that people use sweeping generalizations as you have done in your question to imply that any non-Republican must be a far left, commie tree hugger liberal. Some far left liberals might want to forget, although I can't imagine who they are and I wish you had cited specific people. But no one I know wants to pretend it never happened. How can you pretend that 3000 lives were not lost and families were not ripped to shreds? Five families who are close to mine lost children, a husband, a wife, and a mom on that day, and they're all Democrats. The last thing they want is people to forget 9/11. Say what you like about me - I find your question offensive and ignorant. Don't assume everyone fits into your little worldview of liberal = bad and conservative = good.

This question is in itself ridiculous propaganda. That is made-up statement based on no statistics. Or maybe some neo-con think tank trumped up some twisted data for propaganda that was broadcast as 'fact' on Fox news.
The better question is why does the current administration use 9/11 to justify everything they want to do (or not to do) anyway? Most people see through it here at home and more so abroad.
I believe it likely that the Bush administration would have gone down with the Enron scandal if the 9/11 disaster hadn't turned the eyes of the country away from the scandal long enough for the administration to sweep it under the rug. Then, of course, the war he chose to start was another big & expensive distraction. This executive branch has done it's best to close the government, disempower the other two branches of government, and to keep many of its functions secret (e.g. energy policy?!), which is against the principles of our democracy.
It's interesting that you divide it into "pro-America" vs. "anti-bush." I am pro-America and I am NOT pro-Bush. There is a major difference between the two. In fact, as I understand our Constitution & based on GWB's behavior, to be pro-America REQUIRES one to be anti-Bush. Separation of Powers? Cruel & Unusual Punishment? Separation of Church and State? Rights to Privacy? Claim to be anti Federal then set up the federal (and not successful) "no child left behind" which every teacher I know believes is not helping at all, just teaching to the useless test.
This administration is just temporary (thank goodness for the 22nd amendment) and will go down in history as one of the worst if not the worst pesident ever. May God Bless & Save America from this administrations actions.
That ultimate neo-con Coulter even trashed the wives of the victims of 9-11 for getting politically involved after this administration stone-walled 9-11 investigation until absolutely forced to. It was GWB that wanted to milk the propaganda aspect of 9-11 but suppress any information about what lead up to it.
In my democracy, the government is OPEN
And no way do I believe the writer is a Democrat, that's just drama talk that is yanking our collective chains.

September 11th happened, nothing can be done about that, but Bush is not even attacking the people who caused this attack on America. Instead he's using the attack to his advantage in order to make money on oil. Further more, I don't think anyone would have had a problem with us going to war if Bush would have just done it and not had all these UN meetings and stuff beforehand. Further more, when you go to war, you do not worry about the rights of the people in the country you are at war with. You just bomb the **** out of them, then get out. George Bush is a very weak man. He should have never even ran for president. I have a feeling the only reason he did is because his daddy pushed him into it.

You get rebuttals instead of answers because you did not ask a question, you made an (inaccurate and juvenile) accusation.
Actually, it's not even an accusation, just a disguised form of name-calling to put supporters of the US Constitution on the defensive and keep the argument emotional rather than intellectual, which allows you to make up 'facts' rather than joining the rest of us in the reality-based world.
Name one person who supports or has anything good to say about AQ, OBL, Hussein, or the terrorists who attacked us.
Name anyone who has said one negative word about our troops.Name anyone opposed to the pursuit and punishment of those who attacked us.
Of course it happened, but Iraq had nothing to do with it.
CINNER,
Yeah, multi-decorated war hero - right? Historically strong supporter of the US military - right? Opposed to stupid un-winnable deployment and unnecessary deaths of US military personnel.
Provide the quote where he says what you allege. I suspect that you will have to look it up because you are making a false allegation based on something you heard a partisan flak say, not on factual evidence.
Prove that Murtha is wrong about anything he has said.
Really, you should try living in the reality-based world for a while- it's not that bad.

I will never forget what I saw that morning on the way to work.
I will never forget the immense pride I had for my country in the days afterward.
I will never forget the way we helped each other mourn for the ones we lost (and we didn't even know them).
Too many people have forgotten and it is a shame. I hope 9/11 ceremonies and retrospectives go on forever. We will truly have forgetten when they think it's no longer important to have those ceremonies with the roll calls.
People need to remember who cooked up the plan and decided that using planes as missiles was a "great" idea for this stupid jihad thing.

We're just tired of watching the republicans shoving 9-11 down our throats during every single election. Enough already. We all know what happened, and if you're not a complete moron, then you know that 9-11 had nothing to do with invading Iraq.

Liberals want to forget Sept 11Th, 2001 because it brings the country together with one common goal.... to make the United States of America a safer place to live. Which is what the President of the United States is trying to do
May we also mourn the men and women whose lives were taken the horrible day, or is that against liberalism, too??

that's a great question. experience and interpretation of the event was hijacked by the bush political self-interest. so it's come out to be such a political issue for the government, less about the human story. but all people feel very horribly about 9/11, and there have been many documentaries, and many have seen them. sorry the lib propanda offends you. i try not to preach to others and just learn the truth and facts for myself.

they want people to forget 9/11 so people will forget why the war started, and forget that bush and the republicans are doing the right thing. cause if they do forget, then that gives the democrats even more power for them under-utilize as they already do since the only thing they seem to be good at is sitting on their thumbs.

Well, Bush disbanded the FBI Crew that was hunting Osama Bin Laden over a year ago so I guess he wants to forget 9/11. Of course, look at his and your political beliefs--big government, socialized medicine, censorship, nation-building, cronyism and patronage, massive illegal immigration, deficit spending--you and Bush are pretty damn liberal, so I guess you DO want to forget 9/11.
