Final Fantasy 7. It has an intricitive plotline, compelling graphics (at its time), imaginative characters and a vast, absorbing landscape. All these elements, while pretty close to the other Final Fantasys, just made this one stand out from the rest.
But they are anoginisngly close, cause they're all good!! : D

2. Final Fantasy 9,
3. Final Fantasy 10-2.

Id have to say that ff8 best story line so far in the final fantasy games to me. Also liked the main character squall

FF7 i have never seen such an epic game. the characters are great, the gameplay is challenging and the story and side games are interesting. i have a gold chocobo!
