i am actually doing a renovation on a very old treasure chest given by my uncle. i accidentaly sprayed on its leather design.

Very carefully remove it with paint thinner. I'd suggest getting q-tips. Dip them in the thinner and very lightly going over the painted spot until it is removed.

Put varsol or paint thinner on a rag and scrub as hard as you need to remove the paint. IMMEDIATELY treat the leather with a conditioner to prevent drying out and cracking. See attached...
