Part of loving someone is familiarity. When you get to know someone and are comfortable being with them, it shouldn't be viewed as a negative thing. Being "used" to someone isn't necessarily a bad thing. When you have strong feelings for someone that you are familiar with then you have the ingredients for a good long term relationship. Everything new isn't necessarily better, sometimes what we are "used" to works out best in the long run!

Good question, but in the long run I think both couples begin to depend on each other and get aquanited with one another and sooner or later insecure doubts that roam from one to the other is quite natural.
