I guess the worst thing that someone has done to me is lie about our relationship, or say mean and hurtful things.
I have decided though, that no matter what someone does, I can be the better person and forgive, but never forget. I will be civil if I have to. I do avoid those who really do things to irritate me, but I will be civil and professional to anyone.
I believe what goes around comes around.

Never is a long time, but people who show a long term *pattern* of contempt for me are candidates!
If someone consistently doesn't listen to you, there is no way to work out a relationship. There is no way to remove friction and explore new territory. Not listening is a good sign of contempt.

i don't let anybody rent that kind of space in my head, nobody is worth holding a grudge like that. i would invest GOOD space in my head, but nobody is worth all that angst and turned stomach and anger for very long before i just let go of it. i'm not a person to hold a grudge. i might not hang out with them, or might even try to avoid being around them whenever possible, but never speaking to someone hurts ME more than it hurts them. if talking to them and working out our differences didn't work, i'd just place less value and effort in them.

My cousin stabbed me in the back several times and sat by laughing while some fatasses called me a ***** numerous times. Then she proceeded to lie to me the next day after I had yelled straight to her face to make them stfu. It's been 2 years and I'm just now considering saying hi to her when I pass her in the halls at school.
