I don't think anyone with the name Chi Town something should be mocking the Tigers about choking. The Sox were the strongest team coming into the year, and they can't sustain any type of consistency. Last year was the first in a long time that the Sox didn't choke.
But, to answer your question, yes the Tigers see the Twins in their rear view mirror...

I already hear em gasping for air.
From 10 games down to 3, never has a team done this poorly since the Red Sux. But that happened this year, so it should come as no surprise that a team that has consistently sucked BIG TIME year in and year out had a huge lead going into the second half of the season, and then gone onto losing 20 of the next 30 games. The Tigers cannot beat the Twins or the Yankees, and those 2 will be who they will play in October, if they even make it there.
If I were a Detroit fan, I'd do anything to take my mind off of baseball, because this is gonna turn ugly considering the Twins are getting Liriano back in a week.
CHOKE!!!

The Tigers have had a great year up until the last couple of weeks. I think they may have the pitching to hold on for the pennant, but they play in the best division in MLB. I'd like to see the Tigers, White Sox and Twins in the playoffs if they all finish with a better record than the As. But of course, that can't happen.

You're a pretty guy whose team has won only 1 world series in 88 years, while The Tigers have 4 in that span.
Laugh all you want now.
We'll see who gets the last laugh on Oct. 1st.
You forgot that the whinny sux have the last 6 games on the road, 3 against Cleveland and the last 3 in Minnesota.
Where The Tigers play thier 9 games against Toronto & KC, the last 6 at home.
That favors the Tigers.
So go ahead and laugh your fool head off now, because you'll be crying (as white sox fans always do) on October 1st.

You know whos in that mirror! However as a lifelong White Sox fan (35+ years through rain snow heat wind fog and storms, through empty parks and losing years) dont harass them. Lets try and show the baseball world that not all White Sox fans are drunk, stupid morons that run on the field or beat up the first base coach or have that "regular guy/Bridgeport" accent and beer guts for guys and ugly women and sink to the level of rubbing it in cuz their in a rough patch. (remember last august? weren't you panicking? did you want to hear s**t from others?) NO! Why not just sit back quietly and with class and let our World Champs do the talking on the field. (Dont get me wrong! It is taking every ounce of my energy not to rub it in but I am trying to make the choice of taking the high road and not laughing. Remember we aren't there yet either. So when the season is over and "if" the Sox dont win again & Tigers do their is always that comback remark of "But we did in 2005"!!! or if they do choke then just LET THE SARCASIM FLY!!!!!!!!) and believe me it would be neverending. If they do choke and lose the division and/or wild card spot it would have to go down in history!!!!!!!! If it does at least the KC fans would be happy cuz then no one would look back at this year and ridicule their pathetic record.

I'd say the Twins are closing the gap and quickly. As Yogi Berra once said, or at the least has been given credit for saying, "It ain't over till it's over". At this rate the Tigers could find themselves in third place in the division and out of the playoffs all together.
