The UN can't give anyone an attitude check. It won't even call genocide what it is until it is too late. People like Saddam Hussein routinely ignored UN resolutions with absolultely no punishement other than being "strongly condemned."
If the US went too far, the UN could come out an condemn the actions. That's about all they could do. The US has a permanent seat on the Security Council with veto power.
Having said all this, the US is a sovereign nation and is allowed to do what it deems neccessary for its national defense without UN approval. The UN can scream all it wants, but it needs our money.

Then you should go to sleep, but who the hell is the UN to give anyone an attitude check? That is nothing but an organization of criminals and lifetime politicians that have accomplished nothing. Where have we gone too far? By enforcing what the GD UN should have done in the first place? That organization is trash in my opinion.

Yes, sir, the UN should get involved. I fully agree. My book that went door to door by President Bush is also to the UN. So just maybe, perhaps, time will tell.

The U.N. is simply advisory and seems to have no real power.

Go to bed, friend, and ask again tomorrow. I don't know what you mean by "going too far".
