Liverpool would do just fine, you only have to look to the everton game in march where Gerrard got sent of after 17 minutes and liverpool went on to win 3-1 and there are numerous other examples where Gerrard didn't start and Liverpool went on to win.
The recent form has been rubbish, but that is because a lot of the players (including Gerrard) are underperforming.
There are numerous other quality players in the team Carragher, Sissoko and Reina (who won the Premier League's golden Gloves award for keeping 20 clean sheets in the 2005-06 season) and Liverpool are definately not a one man team, I suspect people only say this because of the attention Gerrard has got over the last couple of years.

Being a devoted fan of Liverpool F.C.. I believe that Steve G has been a very important part of the team, but, players like Carragher, Sissoko, Riise and big Sami have been exceptional too. With Robbie Fowler, Bellamy and Crouch we can only get better. The fact that we have not been having good performances may be due to the fact that our lads have been playing for England recently and have scored by the way, and Rafa rotates the system and doesnt allow a certain 11 to gel and play well with each other. i.e. He has to try different groups of players to get the quality in the end. Weve won the Europian Champions League 5 times dont forget. The best is to come, watch this space...........................

Who knows Gerrard is by far the best player but personally i think liverpool are overated Xavi Alonso makes lots of unseen mistakes, Reina is too Agressive, Zenden is shitand the rest are okbut i think they would be about as good as Man City or Middlesborough that kind of ability

The city would remain pretty much where it has stood forever unless you know something about the Mersey I don't.

LFC--panic already? Be patient. They'll be there in the end somewhere among the UEFA places in the EPL. Even w/o Gerrard they are not a bad side. No way they'd be in the relegation zone.

Gerrard is the "almost" Ronaldinho of Barcelona. Barcelona without Ronaldinho would be nothing. Therefore, Liverpool without Gerrard will also be nothing.
