Acidophilus is a friendly bacteria found naturally in the intestinal tract. Acidophilus promotes a favorable balance of intestinal bacteria and supports the healthy functioning of the intestinal system.

Bifidophilus Flora Force is a modified release probiotic formula that helps maintain a healthy balance of friendly bacteria and supports immune function.

I would suggest using all-natural Optiflora. In order for the microflora to be effective, they must reach the intestines live. Optiflora is the only product that guarantees 500 million live microflora will reach your intestines. This is a patented process. Other products only claim live microflora at the time of manufacture.

The patented triple encapsulation uses only natural ingredients to protect microflora until they are released in the intestine. The seamless outer shell protects microflora against stomach acid. The middle layer protects against oxygen and moisture and the inner core holds and protects microflora until they are released in the intestines and it's only a BB size capsule.

This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora).

I regularly use this supplement and it will give you optimal results.

Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or for the website.

You can take acidophilus, such as in yogurt.
but a probiotic formula with other types of friendly bacteria such as bifidus etc. would be more balanced for you to take. if you take a tablet, you replenish your friendly bacteria much faster than just eating yogurt

If you want to replace the bacteria in your GI tract, it would be lactobacillus. This is easily eaten in yogurt. Though they do make an over the counter pill.

I would recommend acidophilus pearls. I would stay away from yogurt as the dairy (and sugar) will defeat your purpose.
