It seems everyone's got a tattoo these days. I got my first and only tatto over ten years ago when I was 19. I don't regret it, but I've changed a bit over the years and don't feel it really represents who I am now. Are you inked? And if so do you regret, love it, or what?

I had mine done when I was 19. I still love it but I wish I had gotten something with a little more meaning. Eventually I will get more. Though you may change, your tattoo will always remind you who you are and why it is you changed :)

I dont have any tattoos. I've been watching miami ink though[hehehe kinda lame] and i've always found tattoos interesting. I want one but i'm afraid i'll regret it later on. So i thought if i could get one good one that could represent everything i am then i wouldnt regret it. But i've thought about what would best represent me and things i come up with dont last because later i feel as if i've changed and want something different. [I like to draw and think that something i made myself would be a good idea] Its very hard to choose because i dont want to regret it.

At the same time... I think if i got one i would love it even after years to come because it was a phase in my life. Everything i've been through whether good or bad or just plain stupid would represent me. So even if the tattoo i end up getting doesnt fit me 10 years after that... it did fit at one point and i think i'd still love it.

I personally think many people will regret thier tattoos, only because they are NOT special, and they didnt put a lot of thought into the content or the placement.

I'm not against them - but I dont have one for that exact reason - I can seem to stay settled on placement or content.

I have one friend who got one on a whim - and she is in the process of getting it removed (giant skeleton all down the side of her leg...) and it HURTS a lot to have it lasered - and during the in between stages it looks like a giant bruise or birthmark.

I would do the best you can to view your tatto as a memoir of the past, and learn to live with it!

I've had mine over ten years, too; since I was 21. It's a pretty large tribal back tattoo. I do sometimes regret it. I think I'd feel more comfortable with it if I had it cleaned up a little - the edges are a little smudgy now and the black is getting that old-tattoo color. Charming.

I got two tattoos nearly ten years ago, and I don't regret either of them. I put a lot of thought into what I wanted (and why) and I put them in places that can be easily covered when I don't think the people around me would appreciate them. My mom wouldn't have even ever seen them if she hadn't been in the delivery room when I had my two children! BTW, one is on my upper thigh (if it shows I know my shorts are too short) and the other is just above my buttock on my back (if it shows my pants are too low and my shirt too short).

I have 15 tattoos - I got my first back in 1993 and I love all my tattoos.. the only thing I would do different is placement (most are on my arms and I want full sleeves so its now basically figuring out how to connect them all)

I'm not inked, because I think I would be the kind to change my mind a million times. Some people are just not for tattoos.

i dontt think one should regret things that make them their own selves..
tattoo is sth u wear to have a word.. once u say a word, u cant turn it backwards.. then hold to it..
everything changes by time; sure.. take it as a step and never regret..
