No, arranged marraiges. I'm against it. Anyone who has to put up with this should remeber the meaning of marraige. It's the time when to lovers unite as one. Arranged marraiges don't have this. I mean you're married to a complete stranger. How can one call themselves lovers if this happens. What if the other loves someone else. Then that marraige would be fake almost like living a lie about loving someone you don't.

It's a forced marraige. In a forced marriage, the parents choose the child's future spouse with little or no input from the child. In this rare form of arranged marriage, if the child refuses the choice, he or she may be disowned or punished (in rare cases, killed). In most such cases, the marriage simply takes place anyway, overriding the child's objections. Motivating factors for such a marriage tend to be social or economic, i.e., the interests of the family or community that are served by the marriage are seen as paramount, and the will of the individual is insignificant.

Although it sounds cool since it'll be different from that of other people's story, I don't think it would be a good idea TODAY. Since we have the freedom-stuff going, I think some people will not like that idea at all. People would want to do things their own way and take things on their phase, so it means they don't necessarily want arranged marriages or even want someone decide for their future, especially the person they'll marry. But still, arranged marriages happen in some people nowadays and most of the time the parents decide on it. :)

no, because you are not with the person you truly love. It does not matter what parents and family things. What is most important is love. You need to love and be in love with the person you marry. I think arranged marriage would take a lot of stress away from the world, but that would be about it. A lot of unhappy couples.

The people who want an arranged marriage, mutually, rarely get divorced, and seem to be happy. In the Indian culture, those matched are made during childhood, and are based in astrology, and what the parents want. I would not want this. But I am not opposed to it, as I know several happily arranged couples.

I don't think so. The divorce rate is already high, arranged marriage would only make it worse. You should marry for love, no other reason.

No, I don't think they'd be good anytime. No one should be forced to marry someone they don't love and want to spend the rest of their lives with. I think they would most likely end in divorce. There is nothing that can replace the feeling of truly being in love, I know. It is fantastic.
