I need help with this song........?

Okay, there was this (country) song out awhile ago, and my mom loved it and I want to download it for her. But unfortunately, she doesn't remember the title/artist. It was about a man who was an alcoholic, and (I think) his wife died in a car accident, and the main lyric was "I finally gave her flowers," or something like that.
