you cant use itunes as it will only allow synchronisation with ipods

you could try windows media player or real player as they do support most mp3 players on the market

failing all that & depending on the model you can probably find the software for your mp3 player on this website http://esupport.sony.com/US/ failing that if your mp3 player is within warranty you can contact sony to get a replacement CD if that fails let me know and i'll find an alternative way of sourcing your software.

Nope. iTunes will only sync with an iPod.

Which Sony MP3 player have you got? E-mail me the model and I'll e-mail you a link to the software.

If your PC is a mac, there is a way to sync your Sony mp3 player with iTunes. Just follow the steps here: http://www.muxton.com/2006/09/02/howto-sync-itunes-playlist-to-your-mobile-phone-or-non-ipod-mp3-player-mac-os-x-only/

I havent tried it myself but it should be possible, otherwise you should download the appropriate software for your mp3 player.

Hope this helps :)
