While citrus does help to expel excess fluid (and toxins along with it) from the body, there are much safer, less experimental (not a fad) ways to do it. I would suggest you go to your local health food store and purchase a pre-packaged detox program. I use and recommend Renew total body detox; you can ask at the store which one they would recommend. Detoxing is an important part of achieving and maintaining health.

Yea, however This is not a diet but a cleanse it can be in durations of 3, 7, 10, or even 30 days. Its suppose to cleanse your body of toxins and waste. Its true that you do loose pounds due to cleaning debris from your body of this lemonade cleanse I lost 5 lbs. I did the 3 day. Please remeber you can not eat the same foods you did before after the cleanse because your body will reject it start slow. Most cleanse are good to get a head start on weight loss. It not suppose to be a long term thing becasue you will mess up your metabolism and Digenstive tract (which will make you backed up!!)

I believe that lemons and limes are good for cleansing but it might be too much to make a diet out of it. Just eat healthful food with your lemonade.

Please don't go with the lemonade diet. It's dangerous and unnecessary. People who try that fad end up with excrutiating headaches and it only leads to kidney malfunction.
If you need to cleanse your system, take a blend of phytonutrients, flavenoids and polysaccharides. This will remove the free radicals, bacteria, inflammation, acid, yeast and fungus from your system and make it alkalide. This will cleanse your body, nothing can grow in an alkaline environment. This is excellent for prevention of disease, all auto-immune disfunctions as well as assisting to balance your weight.
