Does anyone remember the original transformers from the 80's, i personally say it was the best of all of them.
Who else says that they should just leave transformers alone and stop producing all these crapy remakes.
Should they bring back the original transformers to t.v.
Who is your favorit.
Does anybody know were i can get a hold of the original episodes on the internet of mabey on dvd?

and there's supposed to be a video game on those specifc periods. but thing's have gone quiet since . it'll probable be released after the live action movie.
Generations 1 and 2 where Optimus Prime,and Rodimus Prime were the top heroes. it was good. but every thing has their place.
The remake's as you call them are for younger kid's that need something new. and the tv net work's don't want to air old stuff. even un aired stuff that took place after the head master's and target master's period that was dubed from japan and aird during the the 90's but was short lived all due to bad time slot's and what ever producer was runing Abc the tv station at that time. sad to say. though may be they should air the head master's target master period and finish the rest for those old fans that missed it. or didn't get to finish that era(like me) cause of ABC's bad chose back in that day.
any way the reson they made remakes is so That kid's won't say it look's old to them. be side' their pushing those "different remakes "as you call them as different relaitys/ universes on to them selves..
A good example is to look at the show small ville. it has taken a completely different path from the comic's .
And it's a universe on to it's self cause of how differently thing's turned out continuity wise.. enjoy your transformer's for what it was. and let what Ever kid watching the latest version these days enjoy theirs. it's kinda late to chnge what's happend already.

I was a big fan of Transformers, and I hope the movie comes out well. I don't want it to be crap. Transformers is so awesome, hopefully this movie will hold true and introduce younger kids to the Transformers.
Personally, my favorite is Optimus Prime (I don't see how anyone couldn't like him.) He stood for everything a good man (robot, whatever) should be. And he was a good fighter.
Didn't care much for the Beast Transformers, but I watched it, because it was the only one that were on at the time.

the transformers were very cool when they first came out. then they started coming out with all the different varieties (animals, insects, household appliances), and they really got watered down and pretty stupid. megatron was awesome, then he was transformed (no pun intended) into galvatron. lame!!! my favorite in the cartoons were megatron and starscream, but the best toy was skyfire/jetfire, since he looked exactly like the veritech mechas from robotech.
the new movie should be impressive. since it's all cga, they'll be able to make them look, interact, and move very fluidly. i just hope they don't blow the plotline!
you can probably download individual episodes on something like limewire, and they have the original series out on dvd. go to ebay and hope for low bids...

Oh Ya. I remember stealing those w/ my buddie at the drug store. The copy cats were pretty good to. He got busted and I didn't but it was fun while it lasted. These days even legos need batteries and they are expensive.
The cartoon was good to. Do you still play with with them?. You sound a little obsessed about those transformers. Hey bring .some to bar with you, I guarantee you'll score!

yes!!!!!!!!!Original transformers are the best. You know there will be a Transformer movie coming out sometime in 2007. You can buy the original episodes on E bay or half price.com

i watched it .. and my fav was of course optimus prime..the newer versions blow....they shouldnt have done the mvie 07 version because they already made prime a long nosed pete rather then a cabover,, bumblebeee went from vw to a camaro,,,, megatron is gonna be a tank,,i for one will not go watch it

I know all about them from Gen 1 all the way up to current...My fience collects them all....he has about 1,400 of them from japan to exclusives from Gen1,Gen2,Alternators,Armada,Beast Machines,Beast Wars,Energon,Exclusives...how big of a fan he is he has the Autobot adnd Decepticon symboles tattooed on his upper arm that takes up his hole upper arm

The originals WERE the best.
The movie made no sense, but I enjoyed watching it as a kid anyway.

My personal favorite was Optimus Prime.
I actually really liked the version in which he was a fire truck.

No. I was born around the 1993's time. But my siblings do remember watching that in New York. Its gotten so boring now...I don't even watch it!
