Aidan - - - a hard N sound - - - a good Scottish name, means helper - - also associated with Fire - - - whereas Alston does not have a meaning unless it is a variant of Alton - - - - - however if you did go with Alston it would be one of a kind but still my pref is for Aidan. Peace...
