Ok here goes: is it possible to have two different paypal accounts using only one bank and routing number etc?

No, that's not possible. I have all ready tried it and they come back with - Sorry this account number is associated with another paypal account...

PayPal allows members to have one Personal account and one Premier or Business account. However, each PayPal account must contain unique email addresses and financial information. You may upgrade your account at any time.

I do not believe that you can. I tried to do this myself. The problem is that you need to verify your payment source. PayPal would not allow me to use my checking account that I was using for one account and use it for another account.

I would check with them to be sure. I am pretty sure this is correct. They do this for your safety.
