The sword fighting moves are indeed taken from styles like escrima (stick fighting) and kendo (japanese samurai sword fighting). The double ended lightsaber fights are generally quarterstaff/bo-staff techniques amd the two-lightsaber techniques are Florentine fencing styles.

Many martial arts schools can be found to teach the first three. A fencing academy will teach the latter, if it's one that includes it in addition to the more conventional foil, epee and saber.

Good question. I lightsaber fight with my friends all the time (we use those $7 plastic lightsabers found at Wal-Mart, etc.), and I could possibly beifit from this question. Right now, I fight where I block with two sabers, then switch the right lightsaber so it's upside-down, then attack with that one. Pretty effective IMO, but I guess it takes skill to master whatever works for you. Anyway, that's all I have to say, thanks if you actually cared to read this! :-)

Try Google or ask.com for sword re-enactment societies. There might be a local one, and I hear they have a lot of fun.

Plus they sometimes get invited to join in battle scenes on movie sets; because they know the moves & have no problem with the costumes or moving naturally under the weight of armour.

A lot of the fighting moves used in the movies were taken from Samurai techniques and Escrima (Filipino stick-fighting) and fencing.
