yes Efrain. i think you are right. people who do this are insecure and lack control and power from parts of their life, therefore feel the need to instill power and control on someone who the PERCEIVE as weaker than them.

It makes them feel powerful even though they're weak. Some people are just sick.

It gives them a sense of power and control, to know that others trusted them and that they can use that to their advantage.

It is to make themselves more powerful in their own mind. Really all it does is create problems where they wouldn't ordinarily exist.

Are you sure ,they know they are deciving them? maybe they truly believe what they are telling them. may be a lot of people in the world that needs some truths, there could be a lot of us decieved.
