The sad hard truth is that there are two things that will help you. Diet, not a fad diet, but a healthy diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, grains, meats/poultry/fish and dairy. And exercise. No matter what the ad might say, there is NO miracle way to burn off fat, or slim down without a healthy diet and exercise. No, it's not easy. The weight won't come off quickly. BUT...when it does come off, it will STAY off.

The first step is snacking (my greatest struggle!) When you get hungry between meals, reach for an apple...an orange...or whatever happens to be your favorite fruit. Instead of sitting mindlessly in front of the TV...go for a walk. Your little one would probably enjoy that as well. Tuck him/her into the stroller and go! Walking is the least strenuous exercise, and the best for your entire body...heart, lungs...your body will thank you!

Good luck!

What has always helped me, as I'm unable to stick to any "diet" is count how many calories your eating on a normal basis, then once you have an average, reduce it, only a little at a time, Depending on where you are. The ideal for an inactive women is 1200, and for a very active is 1500... I was actually at about 2500 to begin with... So I reduced it at 100 a day, and I tried to eat the recommended amounts from the food guide pyramid. If your eating everything you need, it will reduce the amount of binge eating. You also burn calories as you exercises. Light walking, cleaning, gardening, burns 4 calories a minute, Speed walking, will get you 7 calories a minute, and heavy exercises will get you 10 calories.. Also you may average your calorie intake for the week, so if your over one day, you don't have to quit simply eat less the next day to make up for it.. I got a neat book from the kaiser pharmacy, you can buy it from there even if your not a member, I'm sure you may also get a book like this from other places.. Just don't get to overwhelmed.. Take it little by little

Well, one thing you can do is to go to a nutritionst who will set up a special program for you to follow. Excercise is also important. Some hospitals have weight loss programs. Weight Watchers is a good program. There are many sources out there that are reliable. Don't fall for these lose weight fast schemes. They can be dangerous.
I'm working on weight loss and it is hard. Don't approach it as a diet. Try to see it as a lifestyle change.
The best to you. Don't give up trying.

Pregnancy changes your whole body - even your metabolism. Your genetics makeup and hormones come into play as well as your age. The only good way to lose weight is to cut caloric intake while increasing the amount of exercise.

cut your carbs and calories. do not have any sugar and limit your intake of bread, potatoes, rice, pasta. Drink LOTS of water and exercise about 30 minutes 4 days a week. maybe some sit ups, walking, push ups. Take a good vitamin also and green tea also works.
Good Luck!

I'm a guy, so I won't answer. Although my wife has had seven children and looks marvellous. We worked it out together. I would tell you what to do, but you want to hear from a woman.
