I am 30 weeks pregnant and I know EXACTLY what you mean. It is soooo annoying. You may have an anterior placenta (like I do)... meaning your placenta is just on the otherside of your stomach, rather than at the top of your uterus... and sometimes the baby presses it up against your ribs... It's really no big deal unless your baby is breech. There is nothing that I can do for it, but, I find that taking my bra off helps more than anything else... of course that can only be done in private. :D

In fact, I have that feeling right now... its ALWAYS under my right rib too....

hi! i know exactly what you are going through, i had the exact same thing when i was pregnant last year. My ribs were very painful and the burning sensation too! Its just from being constantly kicked and stuff up there and when the baby moves and stretched the legs. Theres nothing you can do at all. The burning sensation kinda makes you think its not normal but my used to go numb aswell. but it was a wierd painfull numbness. You may find that even after youve had your baby its will still feel bruised and everything for a few months, i had my baby in september last year and my ribs only started to get back to normal in april. thats how bad mine were.
Goodluck with everything

Probably pleurisy and very common... have a physician check it out for you if you're concerned about it. If it eases your mind and prevents worry, make the appointment now.
