I would live in Marquette Michigan. It is a great college town with plenty of shopping and dining but yet not too big. It is on Lake Superior so it is very scenic and clean. The snow only adds to the beauty. You have to love winter to live there though.

St. Charles MO is a great little town. The downtown area is historic and adorable! It's very pretty in the fall. Plus it's only like 10 minutes from St. Louis if you're wanting city life. There's tons of cute little shops in the downtown of St. Charles. I really like it there, and if there was no winter season, I'd consider moving there.

My son was born in Spokane Washington. This is a beautiful town with gondolas that take you for a trip over the town. There's a 100 ft waterfall in the middle of downtown that's at least 2 city blocks across. They have great public transportation,no food tax, and great shopping.check it out.
