If I were youI would check the timing chain if it is a early truck if it is a late model truck put back the distributer to it,s original position and check the transmission converter lockup, the simplest thing that you can find to resolve your problem,is to see if you have a major vacumm leak at the intake manifold,or you can check the EGR valve,it may be clogged or stuck or check for a major vacum leak at the intake manifold, start with the simplest and work your way up,good luck, delmy d

The connector on the cord isn't making stable touch. pass down to your community vehicle aspects keep and purchase a replace connector, shrink the previous one off, and crimp on the recent one. you need to objective only putting a pair of plyers on the connector this is on there and spot if it is going to tighten up and make greater suitable touch. it ought to grow to be a hearth danger in case you do no longer restoration it, because of the fact undesirable connections like that have a tendency to arc persistently in the time of operation of the vehicle and it will overheat the cord, and initiate the insulation on hearth. might you extremely pay "out the nostril", or pay for a sparkling vehicle? an electric hearth might quite smash your day.

Well, if you are able to turn the distributor cap, then you just adjusted the timing...That'd defenitely do that.
