Nothing you can do. Reptile tails are designed to break off at a designated weak spot in case they get trapped or a predator gets a hold of them. When the tail grows back it just won't ever be the same. Even the bones inside grow back different, they're cartilage then.
It doesn't harm the iguana though, it just looks different.

Nothing. They can live for another 20 years after the tail breaks off and it will never be as long or look like it used to. It will eventually tun to a brownish green but never match up with the rest of his body or as long again. Sorry.

The tail will be dark brown in 6 months to a year, but will always be that way and it is no body's business how it happened. Thank goodness it didn't get an infection.

Nothing. Once they are broken off, the tail will decide what color to come back as, can't control or change it.

there is nothing you can do about it. (unless you want to paint it, which would be idiotic)
all lizards tails do this, its completely natural, nothing to worry about.
your iguana will be perfectly fine, he will just have a black tail.
this is nothing to be upset about.
