Well for one thing you have bragging rights I suppose, but also I think you don't get to rate questions and answers at a level 1. (I don't really remember ever having that option at that level.)
Other than that, not much I suppose. I am here to flex my mind a bit.

Once you get to level 4 you are not limited to the number of questions you can answer. Other than that nothing at all.

It gives you a sense of accomplishment. And it makes you want to strive for the next level. I have a long way to go to get to my next level. the higher you get the harder you have to climb to get to the next platoo. Good luck in getting to the next level.

The higher the lever means you have time to waste, and you decided to waste that time on Yahoo, which makes the investors happy. The investors can use this info to entice advertisers. Advertisers pay money so Yahoo can stay in business so that we can continue to come to "Answers". It is a vicious circle!!!
