My HOA stated that I must take down the political signs in our yard because it violated the by-laws. I live in South Carolina. Is there any way to fight this?

Yes. Take the issue to your neighbors and if enough of them agree with you then you can petition to have the rule altered in the bi-laws.

Home owner associations should be banned. They can make rules and regulations that you have little ability to fight. It is best not to move into a neighborhood that has one. If you look at your deed you will find that you might as well be a slave... you probably have less rights.
