is pokemon still popular in japan?? I'm not being racist, but they keep coming out with new pokemon cards and stuff in the us, but i dont know anyone personely that still likes it, so it makes me wonder, who buys it?? Then I thought, that there are alot of people who move here, and vacation here from Japan(at least where I live), so maybe they buy it. I'm just curious, I never really got into it, but I see the stuff all over.

It's not a racist question at all. The Japanese created Pokemon, so it would be hard to talk about Pokemon without mentioning Japan or the Japanese. There's a new season of the animated series about to debut, there are new toys still showing up in the stores, and kids are still buying the playing cards, so I'd have to say yes. Maybe not as wildly popular as it was 6-7 years ago, but still pretty popular. As long as there's new stuff on the market, there will always be a newer group kids who will get introduced to it.

I dont know about japan but i go to a k-12 school and the little kids on the bus LOVE pokemon. Maybe the little kids in japan still like it too. because i'm older i've lost track of pokemon so it's harder to know if it's still popular. i guess you have to be around kids to know what they think is cool.

I think pokemon is still popular, but maybe not as popular as a couple of years ago. I think most kids like yi-gi-oh now.

Uhh my lil brother was into it for a while and that was only a year ago. he still watches the show a bit. maybe he aims it at the kids who haven't seen it before.

kids buy them they target the kid market. thats all. so where they get good they go to yo-gio (stupid game) and then a realy cool game magic the gathering
