The only way Iraq will be safe from the shiites would be to put Sadaam back in power. Things were bad for the local folks but the Iranians werent killing Iraquis then. Iraq kept Iran in its place. We needed that counterweight.

True there was a counterwieght which was of great significance in much the same way that we needed Russia and the USA to both have the atom bomb. The cold war was in a very twisted way, a very real means to ensuring the security of the world and ensuring that nobody would actually use their bomb.

I doubt however whether there is any legitimacy in re-instating Sadaam and would most certainly be an insult to the memories of those people who he brutally murdered.

You noticed that too ? I put a question like this before. And the Bush supporters could only parrot their master. What you have said here is not rocket science so how in the world did we even think about invading iraq?

Another compassionate liberal, it's better to let Sunni's kill Shia's
than to stabilize the country ! It's better for those of you who have never been to Iraq and don't have a clue what's really going on to either get off your butts and come help, or just shut the hell up !

LOL. Naw. Why don't we hold Insurgency Games where we invite the local sects to show their stuff and we could install the winning groups leader as the new Big Man? That would be better than putting Saddam back into power. What, just what, are you thinking?!?

At this point that would destabilize Iraq even worse than the current situation.

For the idiots like you he is better. Iraqies like you are making all troubles if you weren't coward you wouldn't let US to invade there first . now instead of thinking to improvment and kicking off the US you think to destroy iraq by making shia & sonni crisis.
You are stupid

If liberals want Saddam reinstated, I say we deport all liberals to Iraq and watch them whine and cry for America to save them.

Saddam did keep the peace, at least for his people, but that would not work.l The US would lose even more face if that were possible.

I'll bet it wouldn't take him longer than six months to get that country back in line! Hey that's not a bad idea!

that is why the US put Saddam in place, and with the upcoming invasion of Iran I think they might put him back, of course I think he stopped cooperating, that's why they took him out.
can't we all just get along?
