Just because alot of black people listen to rap doesnt mean you cant listen to some rock take my friend Colin Martin he's black and he loves rap but he also listenes to some blues and he also likes some led zeppelin and some others. Look at Jimi Hendrix he's black and he is arguablie the greatist guitarist that ever lived. Dont be afraid of who you are.

That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard.....just becuase you are black doesn't mean that you have to listen to rap and only rap. Music is supposed to be something you enjoy and feel connected with. If I were you, I would ignore/aviod the people trying to beat you up and keep listening to what you enjoy....whatever that may be.

Its a genre of music, and your skin color shouldnt be a factor in what kind of music you listen to. Im white, and I listen to some hip hop--- big deal.

The word for that is "provincialism." It means lack of sophistication or narrowness of view.
