As a rule of thumb... to furnish each room of a house, you can expect to pay $3000 average. That's providing you're looking for good grade, decent looking furniture... that will last you a few good years. All the extras like TV's, window treatments, etc... are additional costs and can vary between $200 - $2000 per room depending on your taste and budget. If you shop at a place like IKEA... you can get a good idea by visiting their stores and look at their examples. They provide a list of all the furnishings as you see it... and how much the total package costs. That way, you can guage what you'll get for the money. They're not the best... but if you're on a tight budget, you'll definitely do well and be happy.
