I'm not sure what the default password might be. You may want to check your owner's manual to see if it has any information regarding that.

Are you having trouble getting passed the password screen to get a PS2 to play? If so, I had the same problem a few months back. I forgot what password I had used (I got a DVD player months before and had no use for the PS2's DVD player, then when I needed it again, oops! - forgotten password).

To reset the password on a PS2, first get to the screen where you have to enter your password. Don't enter anything - instead, just hit the "select" button on your controller. That should change the screen from "enter password" to "delete password." Enter the numbers 7444, and that will successfully delete your current password.

After that, all you have to do is set another password of your choice. I prefer something easy, like 1234 or 0000. Easy to remember, hard to forget.

I hope this helped a little bit, and good luck!

get to the screen where is asks you for your password, instead of entering a number hit select, it will go do "delete password" and enter 7444, then you can make the password any number you want I suggest 0000
