respect for the female. she's the one who maintains the home & the children.
besides, he's probably sleeping on the couch because he was caught with someone like me, and she knows better than let him on the street back to me, right?

It's unfortunate that that has to happen, but it is used generally as a precautionary measure. Since a lot of men tend to be become physically aggressive when unable to hold up their end of an argument, it is better if they go out & cool off so to speak. And for your info, it is not important who owns the home, the idea is for the woman to feel safe where she lives. As for who should sleep on the couch, I really can't answer that one.

If the man owns the home it is his fault for sleeping on the couch or leaving instead of making her do it. If the woman owns the house same is true for her.

Why argue? In reality though, I find it hard to answer that. Last spousal argument I had she grabbed her bag and walked out. Left me with everything. Haven't seen here in 10 years. Lucky I guess. I think maybe because they are material in nature. If the guy leaves he figures she will keep everything and he would rather be miserable then to lose his big screen TV or boat. So he kisses all four of her cheeks and gets himself back in.

When my husband and I have an argument, I refuse to let him sleep on the couch. So I have no idea why some women are like that. We always try to work it out, and ended going to bed happy. But he has never slept on the couch. I have, but that was when I was breast feeding and fell asleep where we laid down at.

And we bought the house together, so it is "ours" not "his". Just thought I had to add that.

Humm, someone has been telling you stories. The house is owned by both. They get kicked out for not thinking with the brains between there shoulders that god gave them. Reason they agree again for the same reason. lol I never did that to my other half I just stayed on my side of the bed as he knew he should for that night anyway lol.

First of all, the man doesn't OWN the house. It's her house, too. It's also her cootie cat, so you have to be on the couch(which I bet you'll be on tonight, buddy!) Learn to say "I'm sorry" and give her a hot bath, meal, and some flowers. Looks like that you'll be on the "***" end until you change your ways.

Well if there are kids and some has to go, yes it should be us guys that go, also do you want you're wife out and about in the middle of the night? As far as it being your house? well maybe but you might find out that you actually own less than half a house.

hate to burst your bubble. both people own the home. i know cause she got half of it until i paid her off. i wouldn't leave so she had to. SAYS she didn't want it anyhow. if she didn't want to sleep in bed with me she left for the couch. i would open the bedroom door she slamed and go to bed. she knew better than to lock it cause i would have kicked it down. this is redneck policy i don't know about wimps.

I don't think so, dear, my name is on the buyers papers on our home as well as the car. Although I have never made my husband get out if we have an argument or made him sleep on the couch, we know how to "argue". We listen to each other and come to an agreement.
