with every birth control method, there's a possibility of pregnancy no matter how long you wait. Always use a back up method! OR don't have sex

The first day that I was on the depo shot, my hubby and I (well fiance at the time) had unprotected sex and he came in me, and I didn't get pregnant.. so it works for me.. But if your worried I would still use extra precautions..

Yes. It take a full month before it is effective and no birth control is 100% effective. If you take a antibiotic or other med it can weaken it even further.
