It is actually called Morgans toe and the condition is named after a doctor who studied it back in the early 1900's. I learned this from working in sport shoe store management and sales for eleven years. In the times of the witchcraft trials, it was sometimes referred to as the mark of a witch. It is hereditary, and some people have a difficult time finding shoes that fit comfortably. Many tens of thousands of people have this physical trait, so don't worry about it.

gee, all my relatives in my dad's side of the family have this really cool physical trait (all except me!) and we're all really excited whenever a new baby is added to our family-we'll be sure to check if the baby's 2nd toe is loner then the first! so it pretty much confirm about the genetic thingy regarding this and i think i agree with the "leadership" and "dominant" personality trait that all your previous answers suggest. it's a real cool thing genetic thing so DO NOT be ashame of it!!

LOL - my husband says it is a sign of royalty :) I think I have heard this before. I think it is just a genetic thing , like attached and unatahed ears and other genetic traits- does not really mean anything except you picked up the gene for that
